Obesity has been a major problem all around the globe and lots of people get sick and lose their loves because of this. Many people already know that they should lessen their intake of sodas and junk food but still continue their unhealthy diet.
If this keeps continuing, in a few years, 50% of the world's population will either be obese or overweight and something has to be done immediately.
Coca- Cola has recently come up with a plan wherein they lessen the calories of each of their products. They will be stating the amount of calories in the specific drink so tha consumers may know how much calories they will intake, but can this really help?
This plan that Coca- Cola has may not be able to change the ways of the consumers. The problem is not just the amount of calories one consumes but the amount of junk food an individual takes. Something has to be done so that the consumers may lessen their intake of soda because even if Coca- Cola lessens the amount of calories in a drink, people will still keep buying their products.
Some sources claim that Coca-Cola doesn't really care about the health of its consumers, but instead they use this "anti-obesity" campaign for publicity. It is clear to some that making a soda "diet" won't insure the prevention of obesity which is why many of us believe that this campaign Coca-Cola has is just a scam. The real problem is the amount of sodas an individual consumes and Coca-Cola isn't helping by fooling others into buying their products by saying that their products can now help lose weight.
Coca-Cola doesn't really have evidence that their calories went down 22%. It may say in the labels that their calories went down but then again they could just be abusing their power. They are already the biggest soda company in many nations and they want to be even bigger by giving us false information about their products.
Hopefully, soon enough everyone will learn that an advertisement does not mean anything to our health and that they will lessen their intake of junk foods especially soda.
